Scope:

This policy applies to all AdventHealth University (AHU) locations and Clery Geography.

Purpose:

This policy defines the requirements for the Jeanne Clery Act at AHU.

Policy:

This policy describes AHU's requirements and responsibilities in complying with the "Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act of 1998," (commonly called the Clery Act).

The Jeanne Clery Act is a federal law found in 20 U.S.C. § 1092(f), with regulations outlined in 34 C.F.R. 668.46. This law mandates that colleges and universities participating in federal financial aid programs adhere to specific campus safety requirements.
