Scope:
All AHU Employees
Purpose:
The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines for AHU Employees when parking in the Advent Health Parking garages and on AHU campus.
Policy:
- It is the responsibility of all employees to obtain and display the correct decal and or parking pass.
- All vehicles parked in Advent Health parking garages or on AHU campus without the appropriate parking pass, or in a parking area to which he/she is not assigned will be considered illegally parked.
- Early Bird Parking on AHU Campus
- There are 6 faculty/staff parking spaces reserved for employee's on campus on a first come first serve basis.
- Illegally parked vehicles on campus:
- Will result in a fine to the employee of $50.00 payable within 15 days of issue.
- A second offense within a trimester will result in the vehicle being towed from campus at owner’s expense.
- Violators may be reported to the AHU HR department.
- All requests for on-campus parking exceptions must be requested and approved from AHU Security (24 hours in advance) via the support request section of my.ahu.edu.
- Parking Spaces for the disabled
- Employees with a DMV issued disability sticker may park in one of the four on-campus disabled spaces or one of the 23 spaces N. King garage. A disability sticker does not give access to Visitor parking spaces on campus.
- Individuals using DMV disability stickers not issued to that individual will incur a $250 fine and will be banned from parking on campus permanently.
- Vehicles with disabled permits/tags parked in visitor Spaces without authorization will be considered as being parked illegally.
- Preauthorization/Permission
- Individuals with reserved parking must notify security for clearance to permit another individual to use his/her spot.
- Parking in visitor spaces are considered to be parking illegally and are subject to a $50 fine.
- Ticketing Process:
- Ticket will be placed on the windshield of the car.
- Picture of the tag and vehicle will be taken and attached to an internal copy of the ticket and stored within the Security Department.
