Scope: 

All employees, students and contracted workers of AdventHealth University (AHU). 

Purpose: 

The purpose of this policy is to provide definition for fundraising activities at AHU or on behalf of AHU and utilize a streamlined process for fundraising efforts.

Policy: 

All employees, students, or contracted workers of AdventHealth University (AHU) will only pursue fundraising activities and/or donation collections on behalf of a University club, organization, an approved community partner, departments, or mission trips of the University. All fundraising activities must be approved through the Fundraiser Request process prior to implementation.   Employees, students, or contracted workers are prohibited from soliciting funds from the University for personal causes, on behalf of personal relationships, or with organizations that would pose a conflict of interest.

Definition(s): 

Community Partner: Any entity that engages in a meaningful relationship with the University for the purpose of sharing resources, providing support and working toward common goals.

Community Organization: Any formally assembled group who exist to serve members of the community.

Contracted Worker: Anyone employed to do work for the University through a contract arrangement only; not given access at the same level as AHU employees.
