Scope: 
All employees, students and contracted workers of AdventHealth University (AHU).
Purpose: 
The purpose of this procedure is to support the terms of the policy on fundraising activities at AHU or on behalf of AHU and to provide a streamlined guidance to follow when conducting fundraising activities.
Procedures: 

The process to engage in fundraising activities is as follows: 

  1. Complete the Fundraiser Request Form online 30 days in advance of the event. 
  1. Additional information needed, approval, or denial status will be returned within five (5) business days.
  1. Event occurs. 
  1. Within five (5) business days after the event, complete, and submit the following to the Director of Community and Student Engagement:
    • Fundraiser Outcomes Report Form 
    • Revenue generated from the event 
Definition(s): 

Community Partner:  Any entity that engages in a meaningful relationship with the University for the purpose of sharing resources, providing support and working toward common goals

Community Organization:  Any formally assembled group who exist to serve members of the community.

Contract Workers:  Anyone employed to do work for the University through a contract arrangement only; not given access at the same level as AHU employees.
