Scope: 

This policy applies to all areas owned or operated by AdventHealth University and to all student, faculty and staff sponsored food service events.  

Purpose: 

To acknowledge the requirements for safe food handling outlined by the state and local regulations and ordinances. 

Policy: 

AdventHealth University will meet or exceed the state and local health and food safety regulations and ordinances ensuring that all food service events are safe for the consumers.

Definition(s): 

For the purpose of this policy, food service events are defined as follows:  

Closed Events- any event or activity where food is provided which is open to students, faculty, or staff of the University 

Internal Event- Any Event or activity where food is provided which is generally limited to the immediate member of an organization or department 

Public Event- Any event or activity open or advertised to community members or guests outside of the University where food is provided  

PLEASE NOTE

Bake Sales are considered Closed Events. Due to the complexity of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Cottage Food Products, AdventHealth University has decided to suspend Bake Sales until such time that the University can be provided the appropriate oversite to ensure compliance with the State Standards.
